Dan James founded James & Co. in 1983 and led a successful firm until joining with Eide Bailly in 2015. Eide Bailly, a regional accounting firm with 29 offices in 13 states, is Utah’s third largest accounting firm with office locations in Ogden, Salt Lake City and Lehi. Dan has a talent in assisting clients with vision, objectivity and more than 30 years of experience. Dan also has experience with obtaining and structuring financing. His extensive background includes years on the audit staff of Ernst & Young in Denver and in the tax department at Grant Thornton in Salt Lake City.
Dan holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University and Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Weber State University.
In addition to involvement in the Weber County business community, Dan has taken a leadership role in state and national professional accounting organizations and activities. He has served as the President of Ogden Golf and Country Club, Vice-chair of Weber State University Board of Trustees, Board of Directors for Ogden/Weber Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Ogden-Weber Applied Technology College Audit Committee and member of the Board of Regency Audit Committee.
Dan’s hobbies and interests include golf, college sports and the NBA.
